Sunday the 22nd of July, the day after the wedding, my parents are hosting a brunch for our wedding guests, at 12 o'clock in the morning. Ed and Christina might show up.
And the English reception that we talked about earlier on this blog, is scheduled for Sunday the 5th of August at 4 pm, at the Garden House Hotel in Cambridge. Those of you unable to make the Norwegian wedding, have probably already received an invitation for this.
We are looking forward to both the Norwegian wedding and the reception in England!
Looking forward to seeing all our guests!!! :-) :-)

The wedding is coming up very very soon...
I, Christina, am planning alone, as Ed is in England doing a TEFL course for a month. It's a litlle lonely here at the moment.
Wedding-wise... If you would like to have any entertainment (game, competition, music etc.) during the wedding, then please e-mail the toastmaster (my Uncle) at aadland@diakonhjemmet.no
And for those of you interested in volleyball - there has just been a new beach volleyball court constructed straight outside the church where we're getting married!
So feel free to use it and play some good beach volleyball either before or after the wedding :-)
At this stage I don't think any of you need to worry about transport. But if you do, then please let me know!
Also, please feel free to comment on this blog etc. if you desire.

Ønskeliste / Wish List
Hi! We've had many questions about what we'd like for our wedding, so this is a blog entry in response to that. We don't expect you to bring us a present - the best present is your presence at the party :-) - but if you would like to, then read on.
Innloggingsinformasjon: ID: 2838, Pinkode: 8422
- bed linen (no particular colour scheme)
- kitchen utensils
- towelling dressing gowns for both of us
- glass bowls of all shapes and sizes...
- digital SLR camera
- contributions toward trip to Madagascar. (Christina would like to take Ed to see the place she grew up and spent 7 years of her life!)
Let us know if you have any other questions! :-) Blessings to you all!

English version: We have complied a wish list in a couple of Norwegian shops. We have also put out a list on www.amazon.co.uk (go to "wishlist", then "wedding list"; and then search for one of our names). For English people coming to the Norwegian wedding who want to buy something on Amazon - the best way to do this is if you order it to yourself and bring it over on the plane with you when you come (some items won't ship to Norway, and all items shipped to Norway are subject to a tax which we have to pay upon receipt of the gift).
Here is a list of the things that we haven't put on any wish list, but which deserve a separate mention.

Bunad??
(Feel free to wear your national costume in the wedding if you have one! Otherwise the dress code is as it is in normal weddings - smart / formal.)

Invitations sent out...

Hi!
If you're reading this, you've probably received an invitation already. We have some left to send out, but will do so within the next couple of days.
We are going to have the marriage service at 1 pm. A few hours later we will have a dinner with closest family/relatives and a few friends (including people travelling from afar - places like England, Japan etc!). Lots of people from England have booked their flights already!! :-) For those of you unable to come from England, we are also planning on having a little wedding reception in Cambridge some time in August. Details will be coming soon.
At 6:30 pm on our wedding day most our other friends from Norway will be joining us for coffee and a big selection of cakes and entertainment.
Til norske folk: dere trenger ikke si ifra til mine foreldre om dere kommer i bryllupet - bare gi beskjed til meg (Christina) på et vis :-) (To clarify - you don't need to notify my parents about whether or not you're coming to the wedding, you can just let Ed or me know).
Questions? Comments? Post a comment on this blog, or e-mail us! :-)

Welcome to our wedding blog!
As you may know, we are getting married on July 21st in Stavanger, Norway. This blog is for our guests and anyone else who is interested :) We will update it shortly with practical information, maps, wish lists, etc.
We are getting married in Tananger church, where Christina works as a youth leader, at 1 pm on the 21st of July. This is a picture of the church:
